Clubfoot refers to a disease in which a newborn's foot or leg tends to be twisted internally at the ankle. The foot points in and out, and the soles of the thighs meet each other. It is referred to as talipes equinovarus (TEV) or congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV). A birth defect in which the foot is bent out of shape or location. The cause of clubfoot is not known. Usually, clubfoot babies are otherwise healthy. In clubfoot, the foot appears to be twisted, and it can even look like it's upside down. In spite of its size, clubfoot itself does not cause any irritation or pain.
