Charcot – Marie – Tooth disease (CMT) is a peripheral nervous system's inherited motor and sensory neuropathy characterized by a gradual loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation in various parts of the body. A group of hereditary disorders in the arms and legs which harm the nerves. Charcot-Marie-Tooth is a degenerative nerve condition usually arising in puberty or early adulthood. Symptoms include muscle fatigue, reduced muscle strength, decreased sensitivity, hammer toes and high arches. Physiotherapy, and physical therapy are the primary therapies. Medication has the potential to reduce discomfort.
